the company of strangers can be intimidating. Trust the trained

all concerns - from private changing rooms and luxury robes and
slippers to discrete treatments - ensuring that your experience
is truly relaxing.
Here's what you can expect when you visit us at Sawgrass:
Upon check-in at the Locker Room, you will receive a luxurious
robe and slippers. Changing rooms are located near the lockers.
For complete privacy, you may undress in these special rooms.
If you have scheduled a massage, your therapist will meet
you in the lounge and escort you to the massage room. Once
in the room, he or she (depending on the gender you've
selected) will briefly discuss any medical concerns or
areas of your body that need extra focus. The therapist
will then step out of the room while you disrobe and slip
under the sheet on the massage table (either face up or face
down, your therapist will direct you). He or she will then
knock on the door and ask permission to enter.
Therapists at our spa are thoroughly trained in the art of
draping. The only body part exposed is the part receiving
the body work. All other areas of the body are completely
covered by the draping sheet. Certain areas of the body
are not touched during a massage, per state regulation.
Other parts, such as the abdomen and gluts, can only be
touched with permission. So when the therapist asks, “Would
you like your abdomen massaged?,” you have the right to
decline or accept, depending on your preference. Even when
it's time to turn over for the remainder of your service,
the therapist will hold the sheet in such a manner that
you are not within his view.
At the end of the massage, the therapist will step out
of the room, allowing you complete privacy as you get
up and put on your robe. Hopefully, the massage was
so amazing all your privacy concerns have floated out the window!

If you have scheduled a “wet treatment” disposable tops
and bottoms will be provided, or you may wear a 2-piece
swimsuit of your own. In these services, draping is a
bit tricky due to the nature of the service, but again,
every effort is made to make you feel at ease.
Guests frequently ask about wearing underpants during
treatments. Please know that the treatment time is your
time -- there is no right or wrong protocol. This time
is dedicated to you and your comfort, so decide what's
best for you and our trained professionals will respect
your choice.
While enjoying the sauna or steam, many guests at our
Florida spa retreat find it more comfortable to wrap a
towel, toga-style, around their torso. Jacuzzis can be
enjoyed while wearing a bathing suit.
