The Spa at Sawgrass Teams with The Donna Foundation for 2nd Annual Think Pink Fundraiser

PONTE VEDRA BEACH , Florida – More than 100 breast cancer survivors, local sponsors and community luminaries gathered at The Spa at Sawgrass for “Think Pink,” a celebration for breast cancer awareness month that helped raise nearly $10,000 to benefit The Donna Foundation for the second year in a row.

“Breast cancer is a disease that affects all of us in some way and we are fortunate to have an organization like The Donna Foundation in Northeast Florida to bring attention to it and help find a cure,” said Jeff Kmiec, director of sales and marketing at Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa. “We are more than pleased to host this annual event with the foundation and raise money for such an important cause.”

Pink was the color of the night at the event, which included pink nail polish changes in the spa, chair massages, tours of spa treatment areas and delectable passed hors d'oeuvres specially selected and prepared by the chef. Guests also had the opportunity to sample champagne glasses filled with Nuvo, the recently launched pink sparkling vodka generously donated by Coastal Wines and Spirits.

Private spa tours were part of the evening activities and included sneak peaks of signature treatments performed by the Spa at Sawgrass' talented therapists. Demonstrations of Thai massage, Zen facials and Zen Body Treatments with Natropathica products were also integrated into the spa visit. Tours culminated poolside at the spa, where guests were treated to Rose Wine and a successful silent auction that included 29 alluring auction items. Private chef dinners for 10 guests at Augustine Grille and 619 Ocean View were among the bid items, as were spa baskets filled with spa products, designer pajamas, cosmetics, paintings and more.

To visit the Spa at Sawgrass, travel J. Turner Butler Boulevard East to State Road AIA South. Turn right on PGA TOUR Boulevard and turn left into the Sawgrass Golf Resort and Spa. Turn left at the stop sign and the spa is located on the right.
